Today’s blog-tour guest is a former work colleague, occasional cake-sharer and one of the most inspiring small-business owners I know. Say hello to Gabrielle of the green gables.
BLOG: the green gables
NOTES: Gabrielle’s blog is a little different to most of those featured on the tour so far, and I’ve loved watching it evolve along with her business. From her initial range of individually handmade pieces, she’s moved on to the most amazing range of hand-designed stationery products, all ethically sourced and eco-friendly. As well as featuring gorgeous photography and sneak peeks of new products, Gabrielle regularly shares her love of colour, design and sending out Happy Post. Her blog oozes with positivity and, whether you’re a fellow small-business owner or simply a fan of her designs, it's a terrific and life-affirming read.
DON'T MISS: Gabs and I used to run a joint blog-feature, Palette Pingpong, which was all about colour. We often made fun printables as part of the deal, and you can find all of her designs - plus a handful of extras she's added since - for free in the printables section of her blog.
THREE FAVOURITE POSTS:
- This dining-room makeover has me itching to whip out a paintbrush and perk up our living space. I'm not sure bright red has ever looked so tempting.
- I love Gabrielle's appreciation for the small, simple pleasures in life, and this post on sending handwritten notes is especially charming. (Also, if you keep an eye out for one of her regular Happy Post Day giveaways, you could win the prettiest set of stationery on which to write your all-by-hand, just-because-I-like-you messages.)
- Until I finally manage to convince my wuss boyfriend that Denmark isn't under several inches of perma-frost and would, in fact, make a terrific holiday destination, Gabrielle's post about her recent trip to Copenhagen (with beautiful black and white photos) is a pretty good substitute.
