In case you hadn’t already noticed, things were a little quiet around here last week, but I promise it was all in a very good cause. This post over at The Green Gal goes a little way to explaining what I’ve been up to, along with the lovely Miss Gabs, and the photos below are proof that our little joint venture finally launched just a couple of days ago.
Handmade At Home is, for want of a better explanation, a bit like bringing a 3D, real-life version of Etsy to your living room.
The two of us packed up our wares, headed across the country to our first host’s house and set things up so her party guests could shop as they chatted, ate, drank and generally had a jolly time. It was probably a little more relaxing for them than it was for us (oh, nerves!), but we enjoyed it all the same and got some fantastic feedback, as well as a nice little pile of orders.
For me, though, what’s just as exciting is that I now have enough product to stock up my online shop. You can see a few sneak peeks in the photos here, but I’ll be taking proper, individual shots and gradually uploading things over the next few days. I’ll keep you posted as I go, not least because I’m very keen to find out what you think. Gabrielle’s shop in the meantime, is already up and flourishing, just in case you’re as smitten as I am with her pretty prints and heart-shaped bunting.
